Welcome to our Student Tutorial Website for 2009-2010!

Dear Students,

We hope that WEBWriters gives you the information and practice you need to earn a top score on the Montana University System Writing Assessment. At WEBWriters, you'll find clues about how to write a persuasive essay, the scoring rubric, sample essays, and links to more information about writing.

In addition, some of Montana's top English teachers have volunteered to score your practice essays. You've all heard that practice makes perfect. With WEBWriters, you will get some feedback on that practice from the same teachers who score the University System's writing assessment each Spring.

Get all the information you can from WEBWriters. Then, when you think you're ready to give it a whirl, schedule 40 minutes to type a practice essay and submit it to WEBWriters .

Any school participating in the Montana University System Writing Assessment may submit essays to be scored by two outside Webscorers.

The teachers, college professors, and test experts who designed the Montana University System Writing Assessment are interested in your input. If you have suggestions for the website, please contact the webmaster.

The MUS Writing Assessment will provide one way for students to qualify for full admission to the four-year degree programs of University of Montana, Montana State University, MSU-Billings, MSU-Northern, or Western Montana College.

Good luck and thanks for participating!
